If good teams relied on getting outplayed and fortunate bounces to win, we all have the wrong impression of the Carlyle era. I'm not saying this was a blowout but the Leafs deserve much better than a 3-1 deficit.

That's a slashing penalty this year. That call that was just made is consistent with all the other slashing calls so far this year

There's no point in getting angry at the players or team or whining about the refs - this is just what the NHL has become. The league is so low scoring that you can badly outplay the other team and lose. Half the games now are decided by luck. If the Leafs consistently dominate their opponents like this they will win most of the games.

If you want to blame somebody, campaign to have the size of the nets increased slightly, so that when we get a billion chances the odds of getting some goals out of it are higher.

ok so because the blackhawks are good they made a fluke bounce of the boards go straight to an open man? ridiculous, they got lucky there and on one of the other goals its what happens in a fast sport to good teams and bad teams
