The Blackhawks best plays produce like difference makers. Look at the Kings, no showing so far this year. Carter and Kopi basically no showed every road game last year. Kane, Hossa, Toews, Keith, those guys push the pace. Too many times the Kings top guys are along for the ride

In the two seasons following when they moved a good portion of their team, that was not the case. They underachieved heavily, squeaking into the playoffs in 2011 and losing in the 1st round and then losing again in the 1st round in 2012.

To add on this.. Chicago got bounced as the 8th seed in 2011 and 1st round in 2012 as well. Sometimes it takes time to pull back together as a team when you get a big portion gutted.

Those were bad teams, I'm confused, are you trying to argue this team is still a contender (your 2012, 2014 comments) or are you trying to say they are a bad fringe playoff team (2011 Hawks)?

The problem with comparing the 2011 and 2012 Hawks to this team is that as a group they were younger than the Kings and had a potential game changer in the system in Saad. Doughty is still young and should be trending better, but Kopitar, Quick and Carter aren't that young anymore.

Seriously never seen a player with worse offensive hockey IQ than Trevor Lewis. Cycle play was obvious so Lewis stays in corner letting the D easily stand in position to pick up the cycle. Just dumb.

kings haven't even capitalized on turnovers. they don't connect with any passes and create momentum. instead they dump the puck in and chase it to the boards.
