The Capitals had so few chances that the save of the game was Georgiev's first save of the game that wouldn't register as a high quality shot. Then Georgiev overplayed two shots, I think the second one was a rebound that he gave up too and the defense wasn't great on two shots and we're blaming the f***ing defense.
Doesn't matter if we give up 30 or 12 shots with him he just can't be trusted. The team defense was pretty damn good tonight and he couldn't hold up his end of the deal.

disagree. their mental makeup is far more of a concern than the overall play. when it’s time to compete, you have to have confidence the team won’t fall apart after giving up the game tying goal. you have to play a full 60 minutes. and when you face adversify, you have to find ways to overcome it, and this team is horrendous about that. yes, they’ve done it at times, but more often than not they just wither away. that’s a youth problem as you said, but it’s also more importantly a culture problem that goes beyond the team and even david quinn.
We're still mid-rebuild and you expect them to #FindAWay against probably the most experienced team in the league?

This is how you learn. Rebuilding isn't just changing the roster and then you're done. It's whole process after that.

We're not as bad as our record. In fact this team has played like a legit playoff team probably in 80% of their games. Their goaltending has sunk them. Even Igor in the beginning against the Pens. This team is good enough to be a playoff team but they'll get some scrub 3rd liner between picks 10 and 15 this year. That's what we'll have to show for this season. Georgiev is trash. Kinkaid is trash. And Igor seems to have way too many injuries already in his career.
Dude, I’m just joking around obviously, but you have this like Freudian obsession with hockey goalies.

4th line out there for both goals against. Not sure why they were being leaned on in the third to preserve the lead like they’re some safe line.

They stink lol

They're a young team. Everyone wanted a rebuild, nobody wants to actually watch it.

They're playing with more structure now than they were when they were contending. They just need to figure out the offensive side of the game within a structure.
I just see so much of the little offense we're getting this year coming from Buchnevich and Strome. In three years, I think those guys are probably either not here, not playing like this or both.

im already done with this season. i want the lotto draw and that's it. Doubt 24, 13, 72 are going to break out with this mediocre coaching staff and a tough division. this roller coaster to nowhere and a bad pick is just gross.

The goalie should be expected to keep his net. You honestly can’t expect an NHL goalie to lose his net like this twice in a span of 5 minutes. Georgiev cost his team the game. He’s yet to win his team a game this year.

Not defending him at all, my original post was being happy with the overall play even tho we lost.

Georgiev likes to cover the outside of the net like he did on the garbage goal he gave up to John Marino in Pitt.

I just can't stand it when goalies allow bad goals. And this game Georgiev lost it singlehandedly. It wasn't the two worst goals of all time. But when you allow 16 shots and 2 of them of any difficulty (one of was a result of a bad rebound) you're a scrub.

Shortest coaching change honeymoon ever.
Nah, the team still played better than most nights this season. This was lost because of bad PP and 2 breakdowns from individual mistakes. As a whole, the team was good.
