The tv broadcast suggesting earlier in the period that Olli had turned some sort of corner and was playing well was remarkable boobery.

That would have been exactly how this period deserved to end.

Desmith keeping this a game is huge. Team needs to respond for him. That pp was the perfect chance, but I'll take being tied right now.

Gotta get going in the second. If we keep up like that we're losing this.

The general casualness of our stars on the PP is a huge problem this season. Guys seemed like they were out there for a morning skate with the level of intensity they were showing.

Welp ... here we go again with the Pens' offense looking like it can't score a goal.

It's probably not the case, but it feels like this team can either score 5+ goals or it can't score more than 1. There doesn't feel to be any in between with them. They either rack up a half dozen or they get stoned.

You’re really making useless passes(and wasting skill)if Maatta/Letang end up taking a shot from the point on the power play.

Don't see a lot of willingness to battle right now. Guys are flinging pucks away instead of holding onto them.

Well ...that period was special....the best you can say about the Pens is that at least they aren’t the Steelers...

On the other hand giving up a half dozen goals feels like something we could easily do on any night

Maatta is having some incredible luck this year too. Lots of mistakes like this and CDS saving his ***... His stats don´t look that bad, but man, is he ever slow and bad.

Been a problem all year. Sometimes you'll have Sid playing really well on it but G/Phil bit of Tanger. Biggest culprits to giving up shorties/it being non-effective.
