Enjoy these highlights from the last time the Oilers won in Minny (nearly 6 years ago). We're on a 6 game losing streak there.

holy - BC (before Covid) and with a completely different team. Rattie, LOOOOcheech, Hall, Talbot, PoolParty and a bunch of other numbers that I've forgotten about lol.

Would be nice to turn this around at some point and make them our Nashville...

Looks like Pickard gets the start. I like it. Guaranteed loss anyways as it doesn't matter how well the team plays, Minnesota always finds a way to outscore their chances against us. Why hang it on Skinner now that he's starting to feel it.

Yeah, this is the right decision for the reasons you said. And...if they actually somehow win it (lol), good boost for Pickard.

Our only hope is that eventually the Oilers vs. John Hynes effect eventually kicks in and the wins starts coming vs. Minny.

His career vs. Edmonton prior to joining Minnesota was 4-10-1 being outscored 76-47. This included both a 4 game losing streak while in Jersey and a 10 game losing spanning his time in both Jersey and Nashville.

Prior to him joining Nashville, Nashville was in the middle of a stretch of of domination going 14-1 vs. Edmonton dating back to 2014-15. He ended up winning only one game vs. Edmonton in his 4 seasons in Nashville and that lone win was in his last game vs. Edmonton as Nashville's coach and the win was in OT. He also lost his first game against Edmonton as Minny coach prior to winning the last two.

Which curse is stronger. The Minne curse against Edmonton or the Edmonton curse vs Hynes. Let's hope it's the latter and it starts to get its hooks into the team tonight.

I feel good about this one for some reason.

Knew in my bones we would lose the last one in the exact fashion we did, but for whatever reason I think we actually come to play tonight. I think it would be such a massive win for the group if we pulled it out, just hope they feel the same way and bring that level of focus.

Agreed. If Pickard wins it's a huge bonus but we're not likely to win so...

In before Boldy scores on us again lol. Most likely not gonna tune in this game. Always tends to be a scheduled loss against a team that generally has been our kryptonite.

Minnesota seemed very fast and good on the rush the last game. They'll have to shut that down.
Oilers need to continue the good D and watch the slot. Minny (even Blues) were given too much room. A guy always skated into our slot for a shot attempt.
