the only argument for firing lavi is that the goal of this team should no longer be to win games, to win a cup. they've forfeited the right to play for a coach who intends to win.

the goal of the coach is now to instill hockey fundamentals, skills, positioning, and perhaps most importantly mentality, in Alexis Lafreniere. this kid needs to figure out how to play hockey. he's not doing it right now.

i'm not saying he can't, because i believe he has it in him to lead a team, but there's no honesty in his game right now and it's very disappointing.

Shame right now Laf is falling in right behind some of the core whose lack of desire, effort, commitment and grit permeates the locker room. At this point he should be a catalyst for this team.
