some people don’t count goalies as part of the team when evaluating the teams overall performance, it’s very bizarre

If you have to say “they got lucky they got good goaltending” every game then is it really luck? Or is it actually a feature of this team? They have 2 of the best goalies in the league, of course they are going to depend on them heavily. It’s their biggest strength- by far too.
can't figure out how that confuses anyone.

Wow, this sure went off topic. I almost prefer it when they lose. ;)

We've seen the B's snatch defeat from the jaws of victory recently; this felt the opposite, which was nice for a change.

The PK misses Forbort, but when your goalie is your best penalty killer, you can withstand.

The depth players make mistakes, and aren't winning games right now; but they aren't costing games, either. So eat minutes, give others a rest, and hopefully at some point they contribute some offense.

Mike Reilly has seemingly found a home with the Islanders. He's playing important minutes and likely stays in the lineup when the Isles' top two D return.

Quick, (maybe dumb) question: Did Matt Poitras even play tonight? If so, how many minutes? I was busy doing things and had the game on as I was working so I didn't focus for too long until the end and I don't think that I heard his name called.

I will say this, and leave the scene.

Whenever such changes are made, the Bruins need serious size and physicality on d, as well as up front.

They might be able to acquire Lindholm.

Yes, it's a transitional year, and we should all be grateful that they're not in the basement. Those who are old enough will remember the Basement Bruins of the early to mid 1960s. So, we don't want that, do we?

For a management team that dare not whisper rebuild because the old man wants his concessions and tickets, etc., the Bruins are going to have to execute some very basic, fundamental acquisitions. D & C.

Otherwise, one and done.

I honestly don't know because I was doing things myself!

I realize I am ignorant, but if Montgomery scratched Matt for any other reason than rest, I don't like it.

I wanted to give Montgomery a chance at the beginning, because he deserved one.

But after the playoffs last season and some of what I've seen this year, I'm not a fan. Not fair but that's how I feel.

We'll see.

It was purportedly a scheduled day off, and Boqvist was inserted at forward. I imagine Poitras is in tomorrow.

Safe to say we don't even come close in that game without Ullmark.

Geekie has really seized the moment but otherwise not overly impressed with the team as a whole.

Heinen is more valuable to this team right now than DeBrusk. Imagine how you'd have been laughed at if you predicted that in the off season.

Going to have to be MUCH better to beat the Rangers.
