In the last dozen or so games we've won 4 games that we won by 4 or more. This team isn't super consistent but they're better than their record. Does anyone know the last time we scored 9? I don't remember any since I've been watching, sucks I missed most of them.

Wasn't it against Ottawa right before the playoffs the year we went to the Cup when Lundqvist passed Richter in franchise wins?

I think people may be overlooking the fact that Philly looked like cat shit tonight from the net out.

We've played plenty of teams who looked like shit over the years, but we haven't put up 9 against them, or recorded a shutout. I don't think anyone is proclaiming us as Stanley Cup favorites now, but it's nice to watch a pretty historic (from a stats perspective) and fun win.

Kenny Albert said on the broadcast that the last time we scored 9 was back in 1998 when we beat the Lightning by a 9-0 score as well. I believe that's what I heard...lol

What the f*** did I miss?! (time-zones, not idiot)

I dunno what's more impressive - a 6 point period, or Kakko with zero points in this rout. Nice!

that was entertains for sure. I don’t like that Gauthier was scratched. I know he took some penalties, but I thought his overall game was getting better. IMO he should have been in the line up.

this is 1000% the biggest difference between last night and other games...most of the year we've gotten chances and can't buy a goal. last night everything that was thrown at the net went in. total no show by the flyers.

our guys stepped up and took advantage and it was fun to watch....but when you score 9 goals on 23 shots its normally a problem on the other side more than anything you do. and its not exactly a repeatable strategy lol

The Rangers are a much more dangerous team when Mika is playing well. Basically last year we had two first lines. This year that double first line threat has been missing until last night. If Mika has his game back we should have a really good second half. Keeping in mind as well that will take a lot of pressure and give more space to Chytil and whoever’s on his line. Things fall into place with Mika playing well on one line and Panarin driving play on the other.

I wasn't the least bit concerned about Zibanejad, other than him missing 7 months in the prime of his career. I've got a buddy of mine who took about 9 months to be able to lift at the same capacity and intensity as he could before COVID. That doesn't get enough attention but if you're a f***ing couch tater to begin with, you probably won't notice your strength, endurance and focus are all decreased post infection. But if you're even a recreational athlete, you know it kills performance for some unfortunate people, and when the margin in execution is so razor thin like in the pros, you just have to wait it out. To me that makes more sense than to believe a 27 year old with great speed and great hands and timing would lose all of that in one year without any injury/concussion issues.

When the vets/stars come to play, we are a very good team. Relying on 19 and 20 year olds to lead your team to wins isn't a very good formula for success.
If Mika can get his confidence going after this game, it will be huge.
Not much talk about Panarin's game last night. The guy was lights out.
Good game for Georgie's confidence as well.
