Bad loss. Back up goaltending continues to torpedo this team for the 3rd year in a row.

Of course our expensive players aren't playing up to their contract but there is no reason for Claude to have Hayes out there in the final minute.

Clode literally gave a list of excuses, "well back to back games, we were mentally tired"

he even said Avs must be so sick of losing so that could be a reason why we just lost to one of the worst teams in the league.

Alright Clode. All I see are a bunch of excuses...pathetic.

This team is Pasta and Rask.

Both deserve better.

Coaches gotta be pretty happy, looks like the guys stuck to whatever the **** that gameplan is...cause that's just all they continue to do.

The way to create offense is to get traffic in front and shoot from the point...it looks like that has been drilled into their heads because they dont seem to know how to run any other plays.

Clode/coaching staff...there are other ways to score goals and create chances. Traffic in front isnt helping, just making it easier to block shots.

Instead of obsessing about trying to get tipped goals n screened goals from shots from the point, maybe we need more one timers from faceoff dots, quick creative passing...hell crash the net with the puck, throw it around the crease and bash it in...cause some havoc down low...there are other ways to score besides the Joe Sacco "cycle, traffic in front, point shot" method.

Like we have a guy go sit in front of the net, I see Backes and Nash do it a lot..they sit and wait for the puck or rebound and the puck never even makes it to the net, blocked or goes wide. It's like the only go to set play that the players know.

Is that gonna be how Backes scores all his goals as a Bruin? he cant do anything else offensively but plant himself in front and hope the puck can be tipped or gets through..maybe that happens every 5 games and he'll get one...YAY..then we get these games.

And the guys at the helm (Neely and Sweeney) have been here the first two times it happened.

Will they learn their lesson and fix the Khudobin problem before it's too late?

Doubtful.

Claude must pray to Pasta and Rask before he goes to sleep.

This team is drafting in the top 4 if not for Rask and Pasta. Fact.

It's a weak draft year, so I don't think drafting in the top 4 is that enticing. Pasta played a great game, and we can see what a little bit of skill would do when added to this team. I'm hoping that Frank Vatrano comes back soon, although I can't imagine what his physical ability is like right now. More than likely a lost year for him.

Nothing better for other crappy teams than a chance against the Bruins. Oh well. It's only December. Still watching and still in it, and that's more than we could hope for.

I also have some reservations about how Vatrano will do, look what injuries did to Pasta last season. He is however exactly what this team needs. Vatrano has one mode and that is to throw every single puck at the goalie.

Now, now Wack, we can't have this adjustment stuff going on. I'm pretty sure Claude wanted to hire Sacco purely on the basis that Sacco hates making adjustments as much as Claude does.

I'd love to see the numbers for the Krejci-Krug-Bergeron-Spooner-Backes/Eriksson PP unit since about mid-December of last year until now.

Because I'm willing to bet the numbers for that particular unit in that time-frame are disgustingly bad.

I think he still prays to Gregory Campbell. But yeah, our two bright spots. Where's Bergeron? Where is DK?

I thought DK looked good tonight. He's a playmaker and he set up Schaller like few others could have. I think DK is back. He just needs his line mates to finish more often.

I know it's back to back but man still gets you frustrated after they came in waves of pressure against the Caps and then Avs are even worse under pressure but didn't accumulate much of anything.

Could be father-Campbell, son-Caron and holy ghost- Kelly....you can add 8 million dollar Backes to the list, going be 33 this year, for that salary. I really miss Erikssons powerplay goals from last year, even Soderbergs, Iggy, Lucic were better Bruins

I know it's a sample size for him (3 games), but Dobby has the worst GAA and save pct of all Providence goalies so far this season in AHL games. Worse than Subban. Worse than McIntyre. Worse than Vlader. That's pretty fn pathetic. The brass need to figure out the backup situation pronto because it is almost an automatic loss when Rask is not playing.

I don't miss a damned thing about Loui. He can join the Sedin's in obscurity. Soda's act was tired. Good for him on having a good contract year, but we all know he is way overpaid. Iggy and Lucic, now those two felt like real Bruins.

So right now, this instant, on Dec. 8, David Pastrnak is TIED with Sidney Crosby (the world's best hockey player by most accounts) for the league LEAD in goals with 18.

Yet, he's 7th on this lousy, low-scoring club in average PP ice-time at 2:08 per game, just 7 seconds more than the elite offensive talent of Matt Beleksy.

At what point does Sweeney look at his coaching staff and say "WTF"?
