Technically yes, but you may want to look at win percentage & games played if you’re going to bring up points. The Flames, Seattle or any of those other mid teams won’t pass Dallas in an 82 game season.

The Stars will be fine, they’ll make playoffs and from there, they have the team to win it (I'm anticipating Nill adding guys when I say that).

If the last couple seasons have shown me anything, having a dominant season does you no good in this playoff format.

His phrasing makes it seem like this team is out of the playoffs if they started today, which isn't true.

The standings I'm looking at say they're third in the division, same points as Colorado with 3 games in hand. Seems pretty comfortable right now?
