It was deflected...he had no chance.

On the second goal?!?!?!?!

First goal I agree. But the second goal?

Not really, that was 100% his fault. He was in a bad position. Too deep in his crease not ready for a shot. Happy to do a deep dive if you want. The second goal was a terrible goal that a good collegiate goalie wouldn't have allowed. If Hill was in the right position (which he wasn't), the puck would've hit him even if it was a deflection. Especially because he is a tall / big goalie and takes up a lot of space

On the plus side - Keller is playing with confidence. He is an elite puck mover. Some of his shifts were dominant. Not dominant with his own possession but with team possession.

Team with no centers handles the Coyotes despite having the worst PP in the league. :D

The Wild broadcast mentioned that since Feb 18th Minny leads the league in scoring, averaging 3.75 g/gp. They can score.

Sticking with my answer. Hill played well. Deserved a better outcome.

@MIGs Dog ...

I respect you but two of those goals were 100% Adin Hill's fault (the 2nd and the 4th). I'll do a deep dive on the second. Hill did play well for his ability but his angles are off, imo at the NHL level that's inexcusable. I need some time to put this together but imo Adin Hill is not an NHL-level goalie. Again the 2nd and 4th goals today are easy saves IF the angles are on point, for Raanta and Kuemps etc (and most other backups) those saves are both very easy and non-issues

The Wild broadcast showed the reverse angle of the 2nd goal and it definitely looked like a deflection off of something. The one timer was from a spot about as good as it gets. The Wild crew thought Hill had no chance on all three.

If Adin Hill is too deep into his net, that is a coaching issue that can be fixed with practice. It doesn't mean he's fated to not be an NHL starter. Smith and Bryzgalov both struggled with their technique in a similar way.

He was still in the wrong position. If he were in the right position he would've made the save regardless. I need 15-30 mins to put this post together. Unless you're saying you've played both goalie and defense? If that's the case feel free to come up with your own post to say why Adin Hill was blameless I am very much looking forward to it

Few goalies stop the 4th goal. It was a well placed one timer rocket.
