Irwin might have the most dangerous shot from the blue line. Usually gets through and causes a rebound at most.

I agree, if we're counting Burns as a forward. Irwin and Boyle are the only ones who get it through consistently. Stuart has a decent enough shot but has trouble getting it off, Murray lol, and Vlasic seems to have taught Braun the way of the butterfly shot over the summer because last year Braun got all of his shots through.

They had to mimic the 5-2 Van-Det game where the Nucks also got a pointless late goal.

Honestly I'm not even mad anymore.

I guess it's that stage of grief where you accept the loss.

I think Braun and Vlasic have beeen hanging out with Murray too much. All three suck right now.

What's wrong with having a Demers/Irwin pairing. They're fast, one of them has a wicked slapshot, and it gets Demers actually playing. Since everyone lists there defenses, I might as well list what I want to see

Boyle/Stuart (Leave Burns on Forward)
Irwin/Demers
Braun/Murray

Anything wrong with that defense core? Maybe switch Steuart and Murrey but Stuart has deserved a shot on the top defense. I'm tired of this put Demers as healthy scratch BullCrap.

Where's Vlasic?

Go with
Irwin - Boyle
Stuart - Demers
Vlasic - Braun

Sharks need to sell. This is a hopeless season. Either they just miss the playoffs and get a crap middle pick, or make the playoffs and still get a crap middle pick. They need to get value for the assets they can. I honestly don't think Clowe will ever score another goal as a Shark. He's so deep in his own head he doesn't know how to get out, we've seen this from him before, but this is the worst. He's turning into Gomez.

If DW really wants to try to win this year he needs to fire Tmac, trade Clowe and Murray, put Demers back in the line up, bench Handzus and bring in a new top-6 forward that can shoot the puck and skate. If he cannot do those things, he might as well tank.

Seriously, how hard is that. I'm one of Braun's biggest supporters, but I think he'd get a decent return, and we have Matt Tennyson and Sena Acolatse in a similar vein as Braun who could be ready for spot duty next year.

But man, Matt Irwin is amazing. Just amazing. Great defensively. He had a couple gaffes in those first two games after his recall, but he's been fantastic since then. I feel comfortable with him in our top-4, on the 2nd PP unit, playing 20+ minutes. He's been something special.

You are 100% correct on all your points. I agree completely

Imagine if the Sharks were .500 at the start of the season, they'd be behind the Panthers.

Also, I think 3 of those 5 wins were in the shootout so really only 2 legit wins that doesn't rely on a skill competition.

One of those ROW wins was against a Blues team that got stuck in the airport and then the other ROW was the last Kings game where they almost blew it at the end.

And Abeltshauser.

Braun is definitely expendable in my eyes. Plus he is not an FA at the end of the season which would net a better return.
