I swear to God we're the most boring team in the league
Do you guys watch other teams or only the Rangers? Because man, even the Canucks look 100x better than us. And they are much more exciting. My blood is pumping less watching my own team than any other team in the league, we are playing a different f***ing era of hockey.

Watching this in my normal time zone feels weird

Hockey isn't THAT hard and he's not THAT untalented.

What the f*** does this organization teach people?
That's not solely on Laf, and it's a team-wide problem. Even tonight, you can see a basic lack of attention-to-detail with puck support. On the forecheck, F3 is nowhere near to covering the center lane breakout and STL is easily getting it out of their zone. For zone entries, there's no nearby puck support, so our guys are entering the zone on an island.

I know it's not fair to compare impetuous youth to grizzled veterans, but is it too much to expect Laf do to something similar to what Vesey just did on his last zone entry?

Laf 1-on-1 against defender trying to enter the zone is a pretty much guaranteed turnover
His footspeed never improved the way it needed to at the NHL level. Its a major issue that beeds to be addressed and improved in his offseason trainign and my NYR in season training staff

He's also centered by Goodrow, a checking line player who moved puck up ice then changed assuming his linemate was Sammy Blais going to dump and chase.

Lafreniere could likely make a play there with a little support. Yknow, wouldn't hurt to play skill guys in skill roles

Again, I feel like Torts said "we don't coach offense" and nobody has sent a follow-up email in the 11 years since.

Lmao did I really hear Sam saying Krav geting to play 3 games in a row is a good sign

I don’t think it was CM. I believe there was a moment later that if players signed a waiver they could play without a helmet, it didn’t last long.

The issue is Vesey should be doing that on a line with Goodrow...while Laf (or really Kakko) should be playing with Mika and Kreider with some speed and skill players supporting him to make a skilled hockey play as opposed to playing grind line style hockey
