i don't think it's not caring...they just don't have any idea who is responsible for what. it's pretty absurd to have such little understanding with basically a year+ with almost the exact same group tho. the recent stretch def has them really fighting it that much more too.

that said...man for man they have to be one of the dumbest collections of individuals i've ever seen in terms of just being able to read the ice defensively knowing where guys are and having their sticks in actual lanes. they also are so, so dumb when it comes to knowing how to engage in puck battles where they have leverage and a plan to escape with the puck. panarin, cuylle, fox, and kakko might be the only guys who have a clue when it comes to a puck battle.
