As much as Lorhei has been awful, i don't think the goal is on him.

Pastrnak has a chance to get the puck out and slacks it, two guys at the boards with the chance to get it out with the puck in their skates, they fail. Then it takes a jank bounce of McAvoy. THEN it finally gets to Lorhei and while yes, he was caught in la-la land again, it should have never got to that point.

Got fairly close to blocking it as well.

Is it “let the kids play” or this?

Lindholm still out and our left side is thin. Lohrei playing way more than he probably should. Tough stretch no doubt.

Personally, I think he’s playing valuable minutes for his future at the moment. He learns the hard way here.
Never been a fan of letting young D man just play. Tough Tough position to learn at this level. Can do more harm than good.

He has all the pure talent but he's short on thinking side of the game.

He did just push it softly toward the blue line
