I like their colors. I do agree that their logos lean too hard into the idea of being understated and generalized (likely to make them broadly appealing to non-hockey people too. Like random Seattle people can buy the hat because it doesn't scream "hockey", just has a fancy S made of tentacles for a coastal city.)
I would like if their had a sharp contrast color, which I am sure they will at some point (like back when the sharks had orange; but they'll probably do red). totally agree about the bladness of the S --- it's generic, especially in a sea of many other seattle professional sports teams are also just blue/green with a big S. They should do a 3rd jersey crossover with their rum sponsor.

they do have red. It's just used really sparingly like the last version of the Shark jersey with the orange. There's a thin red stripe within the navy band on the waist (or just near the bottom on the dark jersey since the whole body is navy) and a thin one and one at the top of the forearms just a bit below the light blue elbow band.

Give Grubauer 1st star, he scored at least 3 goals for us today

Must be a bummer for Seattle fans to have Wright FINALLY have a productive game and your goalie just takes a big dump all over it

An insane level of oneupmanship over the last 3 games in the tank

Riddich: this is bad goaltending

Blackwood: no, THIS is bad goaltending

Grubauer: LOL, JKJK, LOL

What a fun game, love these stupid kids

Wow! Mandela effect: the red on the kraken jerseys. I see you're objectively correct in google image search, but next time I'm at seattle center, i'll try to see it in person to triple check for myself that it exists

It makes such a big difference to have a functioning Smith. He still has to get a lot better but having two young guys capable of very very high end play on two different lines makes a huge difference offensively.

Also, seeing Celebrini and Eklund always trying to advance the puck, taking the extra step, making a move to evade makes SUCH a huge difference. That skill and confidence to hold the puck and move it in an intelligent way under high pressure is one of the big reasons our defense (and ultimately our team) isn’t good enough yet (obviously).

Anyway, what a fun game. I hope Smith and Celebrini keep this competition up..

Almost posted it in the main boards but figured let's keep this to ourselves for now:

Adam Fantilli: 12 points in 22 games
Leo Carlsson: 11 points in 20 games
Will Smith: 10 points in 21 games

Smith obviously has a bunch of off-puck stuff to work on but after all the angst, this is pretty nice.

Yeah Smith has at least 2 moments per game where he just looks totally out of place. Either in puck battles, defensively, or managing the puck in his own zone. But now that he’s developed some confidence, he looks like he clearly belongs offensively.

Idk, Smith is NOT an NHL caliber player right now... NEEDS to be sent down to the AHL

Games like today just show how dumb the "the San Jose market can't afford a rebuild" sentiment was. Less than two full years into the rebuild and there is already excitement back.
Tank looked fuller than usual today too. Wonder if it’s the holiday or if fans are just realizing the team is extremely exciting now.

But how many of those points are secondary assists? I'm willing to bet it's all of them. Can you really call those points?
