I agree. IMO he has played well.
He is what he is, a 4th liner playing on the 2nd line, hopefully this will change in the near future when Vatrano comes back.

I have hope that he can grow into more than that. He is still a young player with less than a full season's worth of NHL games under his belt. Right now, yeah, he isn't looking like 2nd line material, but maybe he has a strong 3rd line upside that could translate into 2nd line time when needed.
Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, out with an injury for the last 6½ games, is probable to play against Florida Monday night at TD Garden. Including the game in which Chara was hurt (Nov. 22 vs. St. Louis), the Bruins went 3-3-1 without the towering defenseman.
Chara said the time out of game action requires a readjustment to pace of play and timing.
“You have to be aware of what is going on on the ice,†he said. “You have to keep yourself in the right position not to get caught flat-footed or in the areas where it will be tough to recover from.â€
Veteran winger Matt Beleskey, injured in the final minute of the first period Saturday in Buffalo, met with team doctors this morning, according to Bruins coach Claude Julien.
“He’s seeing our doctors as we speak,†said Julien, whose lineup will be minus Beleskey Monday night. “We’ll probably have a clear answer later on today.’’
Beleskey took a clean, heavy hip check from Buffalo defenseman Taylor Fedun, needed a few seconds to get up off the ice, and hobbled his way to the bench and then the dressing room. He appeared to have either a knee or hip/thigh injury.
With Beleskey sidelined, Jimmy Hayes (22 games: 1-0—1) will be back in the lineup after being scratched for a second time this season for Saturday’s matinee in Buffalo. Hayes will be back as Dominic Moore’s right winger on the fourth line, with rookie Anton Blidh at left wing.
There is nothing wrong with Tim Schaller's game.
Of all the guys to zero in on, it shouldn't be him.
Unbeaten in December: 2-0-0
4 games points streak: 3-0-1
Keep it up B's! Win this!
True. ...but I feel he has looked good for his first time in the NHL. I like what I have seen so far.
He's really not that young though. 26 years old is usually when you can tell if a person has it or not and I don't think he'll ever be a top 6 forward.
He scored .5 points a game in the AHL and couldn't really make the roster in Buffalo.
I think he's a good guy to have in your bottom 6, mostly on the 4th line, but there are better people who can play on your 1b line.
I just like him a lot better on the 4th line, we need a finisher to player with Krejci and Backes.
I like schaller.. wish he had a touch more speed but his shot is always heavy and pretty accurate.. plus .. he's a NH boy .. how can you not root for this guy!

Bobby Lou back in Boston, always have to like our chances.
Brad loves playing against him

Why not give Mueller a chance the guy had a good stretch as of late instead of he who shall not be named.
