Every mistake Jeff Petry makes, he gives off the body language of a guy who can't wait to retire, but he is going to collect that last six million first.

Nothing like grinding your fans memories of you as a professional athlete down to nothing positive in your hometown like Abdelkader.

NHL is starting to become an unwatchable product on tv and in person. Especially at the game. Games are taking way too long, heading to baseballs demise. Went to the games last Wednesday and Friday and both took 3+ hours, filled w icings and TV timeouts. It’s absurd. First period here is taking 44+ min.

NHL needs to get a fix on this fast bc it’s becoming more noticeable about how teams ice the clock with icings. Red Wings have iced the puck 5+ times within the last 10 min.

Ice the puck 2x within a (xxxx) amount of span, should be an auto penalty.

Change my mind bc this is absurd and I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed how long games are recently in the last few years.

This year I’ve been wondering if the NHL product is just becoming less interesting to me or if that was the result of years of bad Wings hockey. I suspect it’s a little bit of both.

ferrarro seems knowledgable about wings for a guy who doesnt cover them often
He used to hate them (many former players done is they never played on the wings), until the wings drafted his kid a few years ago, Landon if memory serves me correctly. I don't recall Landon ever playing for the wings.

I think Yzerman has to figure out a way to trade either Copp or Compher. They get paid to produce and they just don't do anything...

Compher was solid last year, but I've been extremely disappointed with his play this year. He's not worth 5.1...not even close

Liked seeing the patience from Ed to stay on the right side of the puck rather than jump up along the boards. You could almost see him thinking "pinch? nah..." Ended up with possession and setting up a rush the other way...
