Meh the pass bounced off of our d-men sliding, Skinner adjusted for the pass and didnt get back in time.
He could have played it better but its one f***ing goal and he had a couple good saves after, how are you gonna go after the goaltender in a 1-0 game.
Skinner adjusted for the pass? He barely moved.

We’ve played enough games this season that we are who we are. it isnt a lock to win the division. It’s a middle of the pack team. The offence isn’t gelling and goaltending, while getting better lately is among the worst in the league. Last year was last year and has no bearing on this year, the 24 games this season stand on their own.

This team is a massive failure compared to on paper. Ironically the “weakest” on paper part of the team is actually performing fairly well in comparison (the defense).

They need one of these coaches to coach the dipshit dipsydoodle out of them and play an actually challenging offensive game more often

And get a goalie

lol no man that happens all the time on two on ones. Bounces off the D right back on his tape. Hell sometimes it literally goes off your D man and in. That stuff happens all the time.
Yeah, and then how often does the player muffin it to the center of the net?

No that works all the time. This is 100 percent on offense. I am not even a big fan of skinner but the fact you guys blame him in a 1-0 game when we can't even score 1 goal is pathetic.
Werent you going to bed like 2 hours ago?

Yeah he was sliding over and had to stop himself and didnt get set up in time for the shot. Readjusting to the puck bouncing off the defenseman and back to the passer isnt exactly something goaltenders practice for.
All this goof had to do was keep his stick on the ice and play the shot. My little nephew junior coach, age 9, even knows goaltenders play the shot, the defenseman plays the pass. Fxxx this garbage goaltender man

Yup. Ain’t no coach in the world coaching to prevent bounces like that.

Tomorrow when they go over the game tape they won’t speak one word of that play. They’ll be focused on how that 2 on 1 started in the first place.

Can you imagine though? “Hey Bouch next time deflect that puck into the corner with your belly”

How are you going to "play the shot" when you literally see the player pass it over to the other guy on the 2 on 1? Youre saying he shouldnt have adjusted over to the other side when the pass came? And left the net open for that guy who the pass was meant for?
The pass bounced off of the d-men and back to the passer. Skinner had adjusted for the pass and didnt adjust back.

All fractions of a second bounces happening within 3 feet of the net. Puck found a hole. Shit happens.

Next time, how bout don’t give up a 2 on 1. That’s something under our control, the Knights had that under control.

So your admitting Skinners puck tracking is junior level then? If Skinner had his stick on the ice flat, that puck never crosses the goal line. Slow reaction time and puck tracking is Skinners hallmark weakness .

That goal is a textbook example of it.

I agree those are his weaknesses but I dont think he can be blamed for losing the game. I think he could have played the goal better but at the same time its a flukey situation with the puck bouncing off the defender and perfectly back to the passer. Its flukey.
I blame Draisaitls nonchalant pass more than Skinner on that goal.
Theres nothing textbook about that situation.

The difference is, Draisaitl has been all world this year, you could expect the goaltender to bail you out once a fn year no ? Skinner bails no one out. You fxxx up, its in your net. Whens the last time this dude backstopped us, like Hill just did for Vegas to a shutout win ?

Doesn't matter if he allowed 1. He was still a vastly inferior goaltender tonight.

Stop making excuses. The goof is at .888 SVP this year. Were in December. This is what he is.

Now youre shifting the goalposts, we've only been talking about this one game.
Hill was better but Skinner wasnt vastly outperformed. Thats impossible for a goaltender who allows 1 goal.
If you want to talk about his play throughout the season thats another discussion.

Skinner didn't hold Hills jockstrap tonight bud

16 shots , 2 off goalposts after he let the first softie in, then team locked it down and He made one decent save all game.

Hill str8 up bailed Vegas players on 5 separate occasions, had nearly 30 shots and looked like a wall.

Goalposts have always stayed in the same post bro.
