Looking forward to getting shut out back to back...Oh great we get the Kings backup haha
Yep. The best way forward, I think we agree, is to be consistently solid. Get to the playoffs every year. Ideally with some home ice. And take it from there. The ‘best’ team rarely wins it all. But the more shots you can get, the better.I know Suzuki and Caufield for example were in those drafts. They are certainly top 6 forwards. There are plenty better than what we took.
But my issue is more the idea that the answer is to keep going to drafts. I hated the idea of tanking and always will. Buffalo are still a joke and they've been at the top of the draft for ages. Same happened with the Oilers and they're hardly convincing now.
We got number one and two and seven and nine. Why would we keep being sub-standard?
We were able to be better and it wasn't to do with the prospects. Could we have lucked out and got Bedard? Yeah, could have, probably wouldn't though.
I don't think this team wins a cup, but i'll take my chances on it over losing season on season to hope to hit lucky in the top 10.
We have hit multiple posts, but he really hasn't.Lindgren hasn't had to make a tough save tonight.

You know how confident you have to be you're gonna truck him to try that in a 2 on 1? Correct assessment.Expectations were completely met on that short handed opportunity. There was no way they were getting a clean look in a game like this one
Or more than one line not containing 4th linersImagine if this team had the heart and work ethic to match their skills
Can't seem to have it both ways. Either we have players with A+ heart and C+ talent like Dubinsky, Callahan, Ortmeyer, etc. or we have players with A+ talent and C+ heart like the top players we have now.Imagine if this team had the heart and work ethic to match their skills
I mean they have for 20+ games. But games like this one or the last one is either fatigue, injuries catching up, or old Gallant habits.Imagine if this team had the heart and work ethic to match their skills
They're Gallant habits, Quinn habits, and Vigneault habits. When will we get rid of the actual root causes of these habits?I mean they have for 20+ games. But games like this one or the last one is either fatigue, injuries catching up, or old Gallant habits.
He's also seeing almost all shots clearly.Plus, most shots are going to his glove side.
