Stevie Wonder could've made that pass to Coyle, he was so wide open
Actually it was a nice pass. 11\13 played well. They lost primarily because Peeke doesn't understand what side of the ice he plays.

Peeke, you play RD, got it? Ok?

Also Geekie coughed the puck up on the boards on the game winner.

Geekie is fast on the ice. He does have a major problem. When he's streaking toward the offensive zone, instead of ever shooting he just carries the puck behind the net. I don't know what hole he's trying to shoot thru from there.

Should have beaten the Canucks and definitely this Pens team, making Lankinen and Jarry look like vezina favs this year. JJ won't like it if we miss the playoffs, maybe Sweeney can make some deals to try and get scoring help, that is if he can pry himself away from evaluation for this 4 nations cup nonsense.

So I guess the new coach bump is over. Back to not being able to score if their lives depended on it. It looked good for the first 5 minutes or so but then they just lapsed into blah and you do not win many games 1-0. You just don't.

PP is an absolute disgrace.

Worst of all this just isn't fun to watch. They look a lot like the Islanders have for several years now. Boring, dull, hanging by a thread when they win, losing close ones, and ultimately going nowhere.

Just in from another unfathomable game

First the good news.
The burgers at the Tip Tap were excellent
The Black dog giveaway was actually high quality
There was a great sale at the Pro Shop
Sway looks like he is back

Not much else positive .....slow station-to-station break-outs, over- passing instead of taking the shot and a decided lack of speed, grit and determination

I tell myself the Bs offense can't be this bad....but once again I watch a complete lack of finish, passes that are off someone skates or a stride too long and an aggressive forecheck that has become distant memory

Dead cat bounce aside- if anyone in Providence has any of speed or skill please call them up-yes they will make mistakes but so does the current line-up and they don't muster much of a threat.

And while they're at it- the locker room needs to be shaken up....my first candidate is Trent Frederic who once again was a total non-factor

And we are back at it for the Centennial Game on Sunday

And to celebrate the Centennial Game, all food and beverages will each cost one cent.

I can always hit you with your own shoe:wg:
Pulling a Mike Millbury on me, huh? Fortunately, I wear sneakers.

Watching Pasta trying to score with his one timers on the PP is so sad . Whatever he had is gone

He's setting up and shooting, but the lane and angle simply isn't there.... Infuriating.

The lack of 1st unit PP success is ultimately is tied to McAvoy, Marchand, and Pastrnak. The probably have another 3-4 point in the standings right now with an average PP. Keep pounding that square peg into the round hole hoping for a different result.

Marchand overhandles the puck and has tunnel vision. Severe case of tunnel vision. I like him more around the front of the net. Less as a primary.

McAvoy refuses to shoot when he should. I have no idea why he doesn't. This is where he needs to man up and start being an alpha. Content to defer to Marchand and Pastrnak. Wotherspoon could fill that role.... Him at least looking like a threat to shoot will open up other lanes.

Just try something different.

But at least our forward group is healthy, we dont have any major injuries and we can fill our lines with all of our first choice players….so there’s that.

That's the scary part. There all healthy. If the BRUINS had forwards on the IL, at least we could rationalize on the suckiness of this team.

I believe a player should only shoot a one-timer one time during a game.
If one shoots a one-timer more than once, is it really a one-timer? Curious minds really don't care.
