Fun game - it got a bit dodgy near the end but good to see the offense. And I have to say it- where was Freddy all night?

Pastrnak had his moments, quiet 3 point night for a guy who is not playing his best hockey. The guy is Uber talented, just needs to get it going and shoot the puck more.
Marchand was flying from the get go. Thought he had a fantastic game.
Zacha is going to go on a tear. The guy could probably have 4-5 more goals this year. He’s had some bad luck and missed a lot of opportunities this year.
Lindholms best game as a Bruin in my opinion. The two way game was there all night, and he collected a quiet 3 assists.
Geekie looked decent. Good few stretches of games for him.
Trent Frederic played over 15 minutes apparently, was a -1 with no shots on goal. Fantastic stuff yet again from 11.
Korpi looked shaky a bit to start, but reeled it in. He’s done that a few times this year, he clamped down when it mattered.
Wotherspoon was damn solid back there tonight too.
Coyle played, apparently.
Zadorov had a few hiccups, but ended with 2 points and was a +2
Overall. Not bad.

They've stopped trying to be pretty for 60 minutes/night and are quite clearly focused on fundamental hockey.
I'm not at those practices and in that locker room, but I am finding it increasingly difficult to deny the feeling that Montgomery had at least a little bit to do with the team not adjusting to the "reality" (IMO) that they couldn't beat teams on skill as was the case a couple of years ago. Just get pucks to the net, win board battles, limit high-risk plays, etc.
I'm under no illusion that this is a team prepared for any sort of playoff run. But I am happy to see that they are showing an ability to put their collective nose to the grindstone which I wasn't sure existed through the first ~20 games of the season.
I also am aware the Islanders are far from a mammoth opponent, but it was great to see the team not revert back to old ways after they got shutout in a game the night before in which they controlled play for the vast majority of all three periods.

Nice to see this win. A bit sluggish being back to backs. Hopefully this reminds them that they can score. If Monty was coaching his way off the team then Freddy is following suit. Man he's invisible. Top forwards played like it tonight.

The weird one for me is Nelson. Dude was straight up awful against the Bs before the last three or four years after killing them in the playoffs. He's scored on them pretty much every game since.
But, yeah, Palmieri appeared to be deceased five years ago, but he continually pulls the dinner fork out of his back and uses it to score on the Bruins.
