We are going to be unbeatable in late February

First ensure we are 'practically' eliminated, then turn on the jets late in the season when it no longer matters. Be sure to improve just enough to earn the crappiest draft pick possible without making the playoffs. Lather, rinse and repeat every year expecting different results. The only positive here is that the Senators needn't concern themselves with high draft picks anyway. Even when they manage to earn a high pick (or even 2), that pick will evaporate in the magical behind the curtains NHL draft lottery system.
