My Leafs friends, I hope I’m not intruding nor overstepping with this. I’ve been thinking about the passing of your legendary defender a lot the last few days.

I hope this GDT is considered respectful enough to be accepted. If not, please feel free to delete & I certainly won’t take it personally. I’m just a simple, old fan of the Game wanting to pay some sort of tribute to a Board who has always welcomed me & sincerely appreciate a man who broke barriers & changed the NHL forever.

This parody didn’t really require much editing for me, aside from playing a little loose with the rhyming scheme- as I think most of the song fits well for The King.

I had forgotten about that wild game. That game was the epitome of why this board can be so fun.

Elation to everyone pulling their hair out to relief.

Great thread.

Only critique is that the Leafs stats are a game old. For example, Matthews has 10 goals now and Kallgren has 3 wins and (very near .900) with .898 sv%

Wings are a good young team on the rise but no match for how the Leafs have been playing of late. 4-2 or 5-3 Leafs.

Yeah I thought Timmins was a sure bet to draw in but I understand that Keefe doesn't mess with a lineup on a good streak.

Simmonds at this point is an ambassador. He's just not good enough to draw before Malgin or Robertson.

Detroit is an awful 5v5 team. They've been getting good goaltending and have solid, not spectacular special teams. They really should be no issue with how we've been playing but we'll see.
