Wooot! Keep it going! We've worked our way back up to top 8 in the league. Can't say enough about their effort these past couple of months. Wow, we are on fire. Onto the next game, GO KINGS!

A win is a win.

The collapse that happened in the 3rd against the worst team in the West is a bad sign. Open netter doesn't mean much...this still feels like we won 2-1.

Can't expect to kill 5 on 3's against good teams in a position to make the playoffs. Luckily we weren't playing one of those teams tonight. :yo:
 
Bad third. I dont know if I want penner to play next game, that was just too close for comfort. Sometimes i like him sometimes i dont. He almost cost us the game. 2 great chances he couldn't convert on.

Glad we got the win, poor doughty though.
 
Hopefully there's energy in the tank for tomorrow's game. The way the Kings played that 3rd there had better be.

Not getting tired of seeing 2 points on the board that's for sure.
 
We've been so great at home this season. The 4 seed is a must! Well, not really a must since we can still win on the road. But it'd be nice to finally have HI advantage in the playoffs since the Gretzky era.
 
Muzzin is now a league leading +11 among all rookie D putting him ahead of his nearest competitor by +4 (dupres Pitt has +7) and his 10 points 5g and 5a put him solidly in 3rd place in the scoring race among rookie D.


Oh and Voynov has yet to play a full seasons worth of games (79th tonight) and with his numbers would have easily won the calder if they had all come in one season as well as been a Norris candidate. Not a winner but a candidate.

A Mart is still finding his game again but will be solid once he picks it back up.

Nice to see Scuds has regained his solid play. A few games of less than Scuderi level play and he is back to good.

Doughty playing so exceptionally well that you almost hate to see him change anything but you just want to see him score a goal.
 
We took our foot off their necks in the 3rd; I hate when we play "prevent" defense, staying aggressive works so much better. But on the bright side we didn't take them lightly and dominated them for the other two periods. So, all in all I am happy :)
 
That was a tough third. Soon as the Flames got the back to back penalties, that seemed to get them back into the game, and woke them up. After that, the Kings really couldnt get much going. I'll take the win but a better 3rd is needed.
 
Sloppy third but a good win. Stoll had a great game. I love Penner's work ethic out there, but he's really gotta convert on those empty netters. He had 4 quality chances tonight and didn't score on any of them. It almost came back to haunt them.
