NHL is going to have a hard time staying above water in this new era. There is almost zero excitement throughout the league.

This sport used to have so much character and intensity. Now it's essentially watching soccer with sticks. It won't last if this keeps going.

I know I've said it before, but the NESN intermission report is not about analyzing the game and educating fans. It's just a ten minute long commercial selling the team and making a positive out of whatever just occurred on the ice, no matter how good or bad it was. Who exactly is the audience for it?

They're all huge.

I wear a medium and the thing makes me feel like the Michelin Man.

You won't hear Edwards cry about the size of his pads though like you will about Ben Bishop's "couch cushions".

For sure. Not much a tender wears nowadays that's not oversized. Ever so slow to make changes. Dubby just looked so much bigger with the side view than any other I can recall.

Boggles my mind that people watch the games, come to the GDT and write this stuff night after night.

If I was half as bored as a lot of you guys say you are, I would have stopped watching.

Dobby looking good so far.

We get to sit next to Tuukka tonight. He is in a good mood.

When the b's first came out Marchy said"oh look...a full house" It was pretty empty.

More fans showed up since.

The B's will get 2 in the second.

Such is life for those who are fans of mediocre hockey teams.

It's frustrating at times. Boring as well.

It may get exciting at some point.
They may find their game and go on a run.

Right now, it sucks to be a fan.

They don't hit

They don't fight

They don't score

But hey, they can defend.

I thought that 2014-15 team was dull but this one takes the cake.

Great post and thank you.. I love hockey but this league and the way they're going is just... BORING.. Soccer with sticks that's rite on the head..

Compared to the other big sports like Baseball, & Basketball!! and of course Football, hockey doesn't even come no where near them.. You know what's funny to me is the way the salary cap pretty much dominates the sport. Its like half of the game.

I know you're no fan of Clode, but I feel like he just doesn't have the horses and this is how you manage a team that lacks the necessary talent.

feeling like a game where canes throw puck in front of net, we fail to clear crease, let in easy goal.

The good news is that we're being economical as a board.

At this rate, we'll be able to have Game Week threads and squeeze three threads in under a thousand posts.
Think about all the bandwidth we'll save!

Well it depends on the way you use your horses and which ones you use in situations that rubs people the wrong way. Never adapting and being to predictable and boring is not helping. Coaches life cycle is limited it happened in NJ and Montreal and they moved on and did alright. Toronto is right behind us in the standings and they have nowhere near the lineup we do

I can't put my finger on why this team is so boring this season but I'll be honest I'm not sure how much of it is Claude other than I don't think he's getting as much out of the forward group as he could be.

The lack of intensity and physicality is disturbing and I'm not sure much of that is Julien's doing.
