With the smurfs
Bergeron needs to pot a goal or two tonight.

I would be fine with 1 assist. 6pts in 20 games aren't nearly good enough for someone playing with two of the most producing wingers in the league and getting 1st PP time.

Time for him to stop producing like a 4th liner and get on the scoresheet.

But I could also live with another of his 0pt game if the Bruins win...

Go B's!

Who's starting for Carolina? If it's their minor league goaltender he will post a 36 save shutout.

And one of them is 4th line center Dominic Moore :amazed:

As much as I want to see Bergy get going tonight, I really want to see Krejci-Backes-Schaller(?) do some damage.

Why not both, or lets be real greedy, and lets get 10 goals and get everyone going.

hopeing we see morrow-cmiller again, I thought that pairing actually did quite well.

not sure what am rushes looked like if any but I would love to see them move backes to C for a game or two and see if he can get something going.

march-bergy-pasta
belesky-krecji-czarnik
spooner-backes-nash
Schaller-moore-hayes

I know the 3rd line of late with nash/czar and? was doing well statistically but I think a mix up could help that middle 6 production. also can allow CJ to balance playing time a bit if need be with 3 strong defensive lines with some potential production as well.

The old Adams division days may have been one of my most favorite times.

Wally, I think back in the days they had the Adams Division was the best hockey I have ever watched.{I'm almost 54}. Who can remember when the Bruins division consisted of the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, California Golden Seals and Toronto Maple Leafs?? It only lasted from 1974-76. Bruins won Division each year if I recall correctly. The Adams Division was formed as a result of NHL realignment. The Golden Seals were origionally a team from the Western Division. Later in 1976, Seals were replaced by Cleveland Barons and it lasted until 1978. The Cleveland Barons merge with the Minnesota North Stars so in 78 the Adams were the previous 3 teams plus now the North Stars. Ok, from 1981-1992, Leafs and Stars moved out west to the Norris Division and now the Adam Div consisted of Boston, Buffalo, Hartford Whalers, Quebec Nordiques and the Montreal Canadians. Ottawa Senators made up 6 teams in Adams Div in the 92-93 season. At the end of that season, The league was reformatted into two conferences with two divisions each. And the rest is history.

Wally, I thought you and the board might have found this interesting BUT I may have bored all you guys/gals to death.

Getting back to tonights game, Been awhile since the Canes have beaten the Bruins but they played good hockey all November, beating good teams like SJ and the Habbies. Bruins still without Chara/Liles, will have all they can handle tonight but I feel they'll win a close game, hopefully in regulation. GO BRUINS!!!

In the 50's into the mid 60's many Bruins games started at home at 8:30 PM. Same with the Red Sox.

The reason was WHDH Radio used to broadcast a church service from the Mission Church that was very popular in the postwar years. It was a different time.

That is a very interesting piece of history. That would mean a 10pm start here in Newfoundland. Sorry to say church don't come before anything these days. Well that's the case here.

That later the better here on the West Coast.

4:30 instead of 4 really makes a difference, I get to watch about half the first period instead of none of it.

Sports are at a strange time for me when I am in the East.

NFL at 1 and 4 p.m., instead of 10 and 1 p.m., Bruins start at 7 instead of 4 p.m., just wacky.

now that I don't go to games anymore, I think 8pm/830pm game times would be perfect.

7pm is kinda early. By the time I even turn the tv now its like after 9pm

I've noticed every GDT and other threads, someone post "Clode" and that's it.

Why do they just post coaches name{or close to it} and nothing else? It must represent something!

Ha! I told Westy before the Phila game that it was going to go to OT (at least). And it did. Like Ladyfan, I get up at 5, so getting home at midnight sucked. I admire her dedication!

Let's Go :bruinss!

Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox all adjusted for the novena. In that era if Cardinal Cushing 'suggested' something it was done no questions asked.

http://www.bostonsbasilica.com/our-ladys-shrine/novena/#.WECfgvkrJPY

Cardinal Cushing suggested that the Novena should be broadcasted on the radio, it was carried on WHDH beginning in 1945 and ran for thirty years over the local airwaves.

People stayed up later then as well. The 11 PM news was the most watched of the day.

Good luck tonite guys :)

Hoping for a fun one :D

Hope y'all have a good game.

But not *too* good :sarcasm:

Thanks and back atcha. Usually Bruins and Canes are good close games. I expect nothing different tonight. Carolina played good hockey in November losing a mess of 1-goal games and beating some good teams like Montreal and San Jose and a couple more. With Rask and Ward, I'm gonna predict a close 2-1 game. Cheers and enjoy the game.
