I agree with you except for Stu, Jensen and Ullmark (if he's finally found his game). SS keeps saying he's building a team around Brady, I'd like him to build a team around Stu. Keep Drake as we have so few playmakers to begin with; keep Chabot as he plays well with Jensen.

Need to find out what's wrong with Sandy's game lately. Is it the new coaching style or are they trying to make him an offensive D-man (something he is not)? Because whatever it is, it's not working. He used to instinctively know how to play D very well, now lots of brain farts since the coaching change. He's also not skating like he used to, is he injured?

It's a combination of causes: Poor previous owner, Poor previous GM, Poor previous coaching, Gullible new owner, overly-patient inexperienced new GM, Poor new coaching staff, lack of direction to the players, lazy players.

Scorched Earth rebuilds fail more often than not anyways, so it's not a fool proof plan either. They sure are in a tough spot after what looks to be 7 straight lost seasons.

For sure, but lots of those teams like Edmonton who had failed rebuilds until the McDrai lottery had awful GMs and front office. But we are in a unique situation now where we have no reasonable way to take small steps over a long period of time. I don’t wanna start from scratch, but seems like the best option given Dorion pissed away assets like it was going out of style to try and salvage FYOUS when the writing was on the wall.

We added vets that have won.. hasn't helped even though they looked like the right types

Pinto and Greig... two key young guys are struggling.

He has 40 NHL games played. Should’ve been our 7th D, he’s just slotted above his abilities right now.

Yes he needs to be better... but who doesn't ... Stutzle, Batherson,Chabot, Jensen short list and he is a rookie so it should be expected he will need to get better

It is a short list for sure, of the player who aren't shitting the bed on this team. Pinto has been terrible defensively and offensively. I'd trade him. Norris has been meh. I'd trade him. Maybe we can get some decent D for one of them in a trade. Centers are at a premium, but this team isn't going anywhere with either of those players.

Coming in Hot just picked apart Pinto's neutral zone play. Yorkie is absolutely correct on how Pinto is doing fly byes. This team says they are coming in in their best shape and also listening and putting their best foot forward, but I just don't f***ing see it. It's infuriating as a fan watching this team piss away another year because they refuse to play defense or to stand up in the neutral zone.
