So now that it’s over, do we have an explanation as to why Ullmark didn’t start? Is it just this coach being his usual dumb self?
Green has said he lets the goalie coach decide who srarts.

That said, we play back to back, both goalies were getting a game each if healthy, not sure it really matters which one starts which, though you could argue throw your best at Ana to try to ensure you win one of the two and hope Forsberg gives you a chance against LAK

Forsberg was fine tonight, it was a one goal game until Greig inexplicably gave them a PP. I certainly don't think the choice of starter was a game changing decision where the coach should have known better.

Hey, I'm looking at as having 1 locked down at each position and build from there. Sanderson out, someone else in that fits the role? Sure. Timmy is truly the only untouchable.

Keep:

Timmy
Sanderson
Batherson
Ostapchuk
Yakemchuk

That’s your core, everyone else can go

Ottawa
Where the f*** was Pinto?!? 0 shots on goal
Amadio may be the worst signing Staois made all offseason, oh wait maybe that is Perron.

This team doesn't have depth in offense or defense.

The players overall 1-20 aren’t fast enough. We have 1 fast player - Stutzle and that’s it.

Guys like Norris, Chabot, Batherson, Greig can skate fine for a winning team - but they are the type of players that work better when they are playing with fast players, you can’t put a guy like Amadio or Giroux or Perron with these guys and expect it to be fast. This is proven by our eyes.

If Ottawa had even 1 more player who could play really fast with the puck (Marner, Kane, Ehlers) - if we had a guy who could push pace and turn some D or stretch the zone out a bit and let the Norris, Batherson, Greig types use that extra space and support those points of attack I think you’d see a much much much improved team.

We need someone who can do it easily with the puck on his stick for his teammates, we have tons of very good support players, we only have 1 player who can stir the drink

Hard to choose. Amadio, Perron, Gregor, Cousins.

Too many brain farts - bad changes, too many men penalties. Not enough 5 v 5 scoring to overcome a bunch of mistakes. They shoot themselves in the foot.

I've always stayed away from chemicals.... Except that one time I tried MDMA

Just one time? Damn. 18-25 year old me lived a lifetime of bad decisions.
The stark reality of the situation is that this is going to need a rebuild.

Ullmark, Sanderson, Stützle, Yakemchuk. That's it. Everyone else can go.

The sad thing is we need to trade all those listed for picks. Maybe keep Yak.Then be garbage for 5 years. Then hopefully 8 years from now be good with a young core. The team is not that bad but the mediocre cup is no prize. The shelves are worst in the league empty. If they can’t get to playoffs might as well go old yeller at the deadline. No point keeping Stu here. Let him go Stone style and enjoy him winning elsewhere, and get multiple high picks and prospects.
