I lived my entire life in Alberta (mostly) and Sask (youth and retirement) and followed the Oilers since WHA days. I winter now in Az and have since 2008. I am comfortable saying that the game would survive here if the arena was in the east valley and they had committed ownership. I know a few folks who were initially involved with the org with original ownership at day 1 and the goal was always an arena in the east but subsequent ownership was more interested in real estate and thus, they never had either. There actually is a robust youth hockey life here. I go watch amateur hockey at the ice Den and while not Hockey Alberta AAA quality, it’s still good quality for locally trained and raised players. It can work here. You’re saying they want hockey?
Wait for boxing day mama we'll get you something nicedefense would be nice
Did I miss 53 make a bad play or is this just hilarious again?f***ing Skinner
I just feel like if they reallllly wanted hockey, they would have found a way. And that includes the community swaying politics if need be. But I don’t know the situation in detail, so maybe I’m wrong.Politics. Scottsdale probably would have had a shot, but it just turned into a mess with various city admins (and I think an airport authority).
Pickard was on his knees before Utah made a move lllol. That's a goalie coach issue. Interesting first time that's been said I'm suref***ing Skinner
Notice they didn't show him in period two and we dominate. They show Skinner on the bench and we go to shitf***ing Skinner
Going to the game you can see that almost all of our changes are bad and/or LAZY. Has been an issue for many moons..Embarrassingly bad change
