The Bruins finished with a better than 2:1 margin in shots (33-15) and a lopsided advantage in shot attempts (72-31). In their three games under Sacco (2-1-0), who took over on an interim basis last week for the dismissed Jim Montgomery, they have outshot the opposition, 93-56.

Years ago I went to bar sports bar with a buddy. I asked him if he ever played Foosball,he said "yeah".
So we challenged some guys.
We start to play and he immediately starts spinning his grip and letting go (which you can't do). Zero skill. Myself plus our opponents said " dude, you can't do that". I said" hey man, I thought you said you knew how to play?"

That's the Bruins. 3/10 on the skill level.

Our skill level is so low on our forward line it's appalling. Guys like Geekie and Zacha cannot pick the corners even point blank. Beer league players could do better.
Coyle, Fredric just coasting along. No desire to make a play, be inventive.
And I totally do not know what the hell is up Pastas ass.

Beecher, Marchy, Koepke, Kastelic, Brazeau I'd keep, just on plain desire and heart.
The other bozos....unskilled Foosball players.

Well the positive and now is since Saco took over they've only allowed three goals in three games one is an empty so basically two. You're going to win most nights if you are allowing one goal pasta definitely needs to go on the IR and get healthy them putting off surgery is crazy he needs to get right so we can have him available in March I understand why they're not doing it because there's no one to replace his goal scoring now but he isn't providing much anyway so I think the time is now too have the surgery that he needs and evidently anyway we don't want to have it in the summer and it linger into the start of next year. They don't have many moving pieces on the current roster or in Providence to make a trade that's actually going to make a difference offensively they kind of just got to keep mixing and matching and Hope hope they score enough and keep alone two goals or less so they can win low scoring close games thats really the only option right now atleast d and goalies are playing better now

I can think of better ways to address the offense than to give that guy 8 mil, doing nothing would have been better than giving that guy 8 mil for 7 years.

I miss a good hockey team, that plays exciting, fun, good hockey.

Of course it happens. But it happens more when you have no finishers.

Pastrnak is clearly an elite finisher. They are snakebitten to a degree right now as Talbot and Lankinen were Vezina level last two games. They play consistently like that (7 out of 10 games) they will score enough to make the PO, no doubt.

I miss the Bruins so deep that Taylor Hall had to play on the 3rd line.

I think you're being a little harsh to these guys, tbh. They've all mostly been bottom six players for their careers because they've shown repeatedly that they are not consistent enough to be counted on. The problem is that Sweeney has assembled a team built on depth and not enough skill. So guys are being asked and forced to do more than they're actually capable of. Last season, where a handful of them had career years was an anomaly that gave Sweeney and some of the fans a false sense of security. Instead of realizing that guys having a career year isn't sustainable, he doubled down on it and added more bottom 6th depth. It was foolhardy.

Honestly #63 hand \eye has deteriorated to the point that McAvoy and Zacha have better hand\eye.

He is a player that is incapable of adjusting his game, he just keeps trying to play like he has 5- 10 years ago, sorry it does not work when you lose a little off your fastball. He will show flashes of his old self because he always was a good player and has worked hard, but his game is different now. Can he still help this team, my answer is yes, but not a top 6 player anymore and certainly should be removed from the PP. Harsh, I know but realistic.

This team feels so much like the 2009-10 team.

That team finished 29th out of 30 teams in goals.

Bergeron led the team with 52 points. Marco Sturm led the team with 22 goals. No one could put the puck in the ocean.

Leading scorer in the playoffs was Dennis (what will he do next) Wideman. 12 points in 13 games.

Not saying things could turn around quickly for this team. But watching this team is very reminiscent of watching that group.

The sad thing is, it was one of the few games where the team played pretty well overall, but the lack of finish is astounding. At this point I'd swap them out with the dudes from that vodka commercial, "find your wins."

I did not say I would, but stranger things have happened ,and STL has a habit of over paying see one Mr. Krug, and that does not mean adds to the deal cannot happen.........so C'mon man be creative.

Well, at least through three games, Sacco has them playing the only style that’s going to win them games (barring major upgrades to their top 6 which is extremely unlikely). Unfortunately, I don’t expect this to be the final 1-0 or 2-1 loss that goes along with a really solid effort.

Bruins need 70 points in the next 59 games to get to 93 points.

Not impossible but they really need to hit their stride very soon if they want to be a playoff team.
