He has a hell of a shot. As Damp House pointed out in the intermission, Slaf takes too much time before he lets it go. Totally fixable with more experience.
I did not say that he had a bad shot, just said that he can't actually shoot right now.

Did not expect the game to be so close.

To think that the only reason Panthers have the lead is due to a hugely boneheaded play.

I did not say that he had a bad shot, just said that he can't actually shoot right now.
Thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t sure.

Well, not a bad period again. Montreal is working hard, and playing decently well defensively. This is one of their better games.

Lack of pure skill upfront & on D is noticeable. Passing is not great anywhere.

Guhle is playing great again. Slafkovsky & Ylonen are at least noticeable. Pearson looks a lot better on the 4th line. Monahan is grinding it out, with Anderson actually hitting. Suzuki is also having a strong game especially defensively and along the boards.

Dvorak is just a waste a space. Completely invisible.

He was winding up for a one timer after he fumbled that chance and looked bummed he didn't get the pass, although maybe he was just bummed about fumbling that chance
Slaf needs a f***ing intervention at this point. If I was a Caufield that wasn’t 5’7, I would take him in a ring and beat the shit out of him. « Shoot you bum! »

He’s a perfect fit for pond hockey, once there’s any physicality involved his game drops
This dude doesn't play defense. I'm serious he doesn't play any defense at all, he's faking it. And I know because I used to fake playing defense whenever I played sports.

He coasts and gives wide zone coverage, never closing the gap or threatening to take the puck, and then he waits for a forward or his d partner to come apply pressure and he peels off to pretend to take their assignment and it happens again

I didn't think it possible but Marty's changes have made a bad PP worse. I'm not sure why they don't see the problem is the slow deliberate sameness on PP1. Stop trying to spread the talent over 2 waves we don't have enough to go around. I'd go with Slaf Caufield Suzuki Monahan and Barron or Guhle.
Newhook at the point isn't a great idea.

I don't like the make-up of any of our lines. RDS finally talking about Guhle's O upside. Gee it never got mentioned around here for at least two years now.
