After the San Jose debacle, I completely put the CBJ out of my mind. Did not read the paper, did not watch the game last night, just went Jackets free. I did visit this board a few times, though, to be honest.
Anyway, I will take last nights game and consider it a trade for the San Jose game, and call it even. We should have won that Sharks game, and should have lost last night.
So I will pay attention again.
As every one here knows, I have no liking for 47/4, especially 47. They need to find a way to jettison those two. Torts seems to have had a beneficial effect on 4, but 47 is a lost cause. Torts has made 4 serviceable, but he is still not good. Problem is, with Golo out, we are going to be stuck with at least one of them, and probably both of them occasionally.
Torts hit the nail on the head. This team seems to have no fire. Anyone at the St. Louis game ever remember such a snoozer from those two teams? Same with the Sharks game. Yea, there were a couple of fights that seemed to come out of nowhere, but other then that, not much hitting. Our play-off season, the boys played with a fire in their bellies. That seems to be missing now. Like they are just going through the motions. We are not out-working teams. We are not hitting teams. Joey is soft. Foligno isn't scoring because he isn't going to the hard areas like he did last season. At least to the extent he did last season. They need an attitude adjustment, and hopefully, Torts gives it to them.
