Geekie's also on the top line because Marchand seems to have better chemistry with Lindholm but Lindholm and Pasta do not seem to click. So in essence you have two pairs of top 6 players and then they are using complementary pieces to play with them. Brazeau for his net front and puck possession and Geekie maybe to make up for some of Pasta's defensive lapses. In any event, it's all about line chemistry and those lines have worked best so far.
I imagine that's why McLaughlin gets a shot too. Looking for that third guy to get Freddy and Coyle going. Those two are the biggest underachievers and we need a player to make that line click.
Fourth line is fine, with the caveat that Beecher shouldn't get too comfortable as he has trailed off a little from the early part of the year.
This is the first real test of the Sacco era. Vancouver plays well on the road so it should be a good tough game. Hopefully Swayman is getting his groove back.
