I don’t think that was the case. As I recall, he said he was willing to work with the team on a compensation package. He was flipped with Taylor Hall in a salary dump. It was Bertuzzi who asked for too much.
Ya I saw that after I posted. Surprised he got $4m, seems a bit of an overpayment.

What Boston should do is go out there and start smashing Leafs around, forcing them to play Reaves more. He will be running around though, no doubt.

I just have a gut feeling the Leafs are going to win big and absolutely do as they please to the Bruins because they have Reaves there.
Ehh he would have been hurt still anyway, but idk seems like a pretty rare occurrence to need to fight someone like Reaves who few can handle.
They need toughness but not sure necessarily in the form of fighting, more dishing out and taking physicality
No idea if they will play Reaves or not. He was a scratch last game against Seattle, but in against Florida the game before. You might anticipate from that pattern that they play him for this one. I also can't see him fighting Marchand either way though. I think if you ask most of us we'd rather Reaves was scratched, he's been brutal.

This. Just jump him and tackle him to the ice, take a roughing and a 10 minute misconduct for him to f*** off.
It’s just frustrating that the Bruins don’t have anyone who can remotely stand in there with him.
