It's a bad game, they happen guys.

It's not much of a surprise - if the first line isn't scoring, than nobody is scoring. The first line is bad tonight, so we don't score.

Our major problem lies in that our "energy" guys, aren't bringing any energy, night in and night out.... our rookies/young guys are coming back down to earth (or in Xhekaj's case, not playing for some strange reason), while our vets continue to be putrid.

We still aren't a very good hockey team yet, and these are the growing pains we will continue to go through until Hughes is able to gain some more cap flexibility and move some of the dead wood out of here.

These guys don't know how to play a 5-3. The objective is to collapse down low for a shot. You pass for a shot when the d-men tries to block the shot, then that guy will be wide open. Habs just try to move around the periphery looking for that one set pretty play. At this point, you can't just blame it on Burrows anymore. It's still the most inept 5-3 I've ever seen in the history of pro hockey.

To everyone complaining about Allen, his true level is somewhere between what you see now and his initial hot start. He's not a savior. Montembeault is also due for a reality check soon so prepare to be disappointed if you expect him to maintain his current Vezina form.
