I watched this game last night after work.

Gotta stay consistent, so I'm happy with the win.

For long, I said "doesn't matter if we outplay them if we can't win"...well, we won and that's what matters.

I've seen this team outplay and lose enough times that I know id prefer the win even if we got outplayed.

The fact I know that this team can play well is good. I was just wondering if we could win. So this is good too. We need all the wins we can get.

Also, yay for ullmark. I said he would need to make up with his poor games where we lost and the team dominated with games where he dominates and wins us a game when our team plays like crap. This was one of those games. I did say he needs like a 10 game stretch to really get his numbers back up. This is game 1. Let's see 9 more like this in a row.
Exactly.

I swear to God some people's brains are absolutely toast. It feels sometimes like some of these posters would rather watch the moral victories champions than a team that gets Ws. "They were so dominant" as they watch a team come out of the game with 0 points.

I really hope the team goes on a nice little run. It'll make things sane around here. Every single thread is a shitshow right now. Every numpty has a take worse than the last one.

Yeah it's a great sign for Ullmark, but a bad sign for everyone else that they can't show up against bad teams when they're on the verge of being out of the playoffs by December once more.
They won, that's all that matters. They need to win games they don't deserve and have a history of not doing it as one of the biggest problems, so t's a good sign imo and one bad game can be a write off since they haven't looked nearly that bad all year. Ullmark was issue #1 and he looked amazing, so another good sign. But all they've done is give themselves an opportunity to still be in the wild card race, still need to grab the bull by the horns and stack wins, or we can call a spade a spade again.

Maybe they were split up because one of them earned a promotion,

Idk, Chabot and Jensen didn't have the greatest outings against VAN or VGK, after that they moved Jensen to be with Kleven
Jbd earned a promotion after a horrible game?
And Jensen after an incredible season with chabot and maybe two bad games on demoted?

And hamonic got a promotion

Sens have to go 37-23 to get to 95 points which is where Tampa is now in 8th spot to make the playoffs

Which is a .616% win percentage in the 60 remaining games, they can do that. If they get to 95 points, they end the season with a .580 win percentage which is also achievable for this group

Boston is currently sitting at 85 pt pace, if TbL hit 95 pts they'd likely take a divisional spot, we need to pass Boston and Buf for the final wild card (along with Phi, Clb, and Det), not TbL

Currently, the last wild card spot is pacing at 86pts.

I guess that’s good news, you can finish 2 games above .500 and make the playoffs, like literally you wouldn’t have to win more then 2 games in a row until the last week of the season and make the playoffs.

Last season it was 91 points which was low and Detroit tied Washington at 91.

Well, it's a double edged sword, it's likely the result of lots of teams being competitive, which means while you don't need as many pts, those pts might be harder to get.

Of course how they play matters.

It’s strange to me that you would be confused with fans finding moral victories in games that they spend real time watching.

The real waste of time to me are all the fans who watch games looking for validation of their complaints and negative rants.

What a waste of time and energy.

Is it achievable?

A team that’s below .500 after 20 games.

Needs to have 14 more wins than losses in the next 60 games.

Zub is also out for a month.
