NHL.com and Yahoo fantasy are both wack, Tkachuk clearly had at least one hit last night but both sites show only 1 lol
NHL teams have in house guys tracking hits, unless something has changed. The SJ employee in charge of dishing out hits for the score card probably just didn't feel like giving it too him. It's why people try to use away stats only for some of the real time stats like hits, giveaways, takeaways, ect. that way the impact of a rink's bias is mitigated.

It still baffles me how we can have games where we can play great games where shut down good teams (goaltending aside) and then have an outing like last night. WTF was that? Against San Jose. Yes, Smith and Celebrini will be game changers, but they are teenagers, and we have shit down established stars on good teams.

We all just want a team that brings it every night. This is not that team, which is so frustrating.

Imagine the implosion on here if we lost last night, it would have been because of HOW we lost, more than just losing.

This team needs to be better, ready to play night in night out.

It happens to every team though. We just have to hope that they come out properly next game.

I went to bed after the game at around 1:30, my alarm went off at 5:45 this morning, and I still have more jump in my step than the sens did last night...

But I've never heard him do that before.
Have you?
Well he said they looked tired and did not have their legs.

As a coach you have to walk a thin line when you win but I am sure they will look at the game and pick out some things they will stress to the players.

Not sure what you mean about doing that before?

Around the bend
Shots on goal were 39-11, we blocked 24 shots, they only blocked 6. So shot attempts were 63-17. We got our teeth kicked in by the worst team in hockey.

Brady registered 1 shot, which was a non-threatening Slapshot from the Blueline.
He registered 0 hits, had 1 giveaway and 0 takeaways. This isn't even average Brady, 1 shot and 0 hits, I couldn't even tell you the last time he had those numbers.

The entire team played like ass. It's his job to help get the guys going by taking a game like this over. If either team had average goaltending, we would have lost.

Literally the only people you can give credit to in a game like this are the ones that won the game for you. Ullmark, Stu, and Gaudette.

I recall a Brady having a wrist shot from inside the circle, going blocker and hit the shaft of the goalies stick. Great chance. The 1st line was the only line that was able to push. Brady was the least of the teams problems.

Great game from Ullmark. Gaudette buried his looks, all created by Stutzle. Incredible work by him all night. Stepped up and made the offensive plays to win the game. Showing some nice chemistry with Gaudette.

Missed this one myself, newborn at home keeping me away haha

I wonder how much the one day break affected them. Travis Green alluded to not getting an additional day break between starting western road trips and hoping that they would have the legs. Didn’t look very sharp and couldn’t match the sharks’ speed. Let’s hope for a better performance in LA
Congrats on the newborn!! I see Fairyland in your future… once the sleep deprivation subsides in a year or so :laugh:

I know a win is a win, but I can't get over just how terrible they all looked last night save for three players, and against a very mediocre team no less. You take the two points but it's hard for me to have any confidence in them going forward with these kinds of anti-efforts.

This is our 2nd line (Giroux had CF 5) All of them had CA 20
Giroux CF% 20
Batherson CF% 16.67
Norris CF% 16.67
==================
Pinto and Greig have been struggling ; Reinhart I like but he is not an NHL 3rd line player , at least not now ; That line did slightly worse

Amadio and Gregor trailed the team
Ostapchuk was slightly better but had less icetime where the Sharks were controlling and shooting the puck.
==========================================

I thought the depth was much improved but ; Earlier in the year we were running 4 lines and everyone contributed.
The D corps with a rookie trying to find his way and 2 #7 D just isn't going to help . But last night the Sharks broke out with ease, motored right through the neutral zone and hemmed us in constantly. It was inexplicably awful... The win vs Calgary was a blip in the continued digging of the hole.

I am having trouble chalking it up to just a bad game. Not now , not when we need to be climbing back in the race.

How they play this weekend will tell us where this team is going. Do they show up or do they come out flat?

I'm not ready to plan the parade or anything, but that is exactly the kind of games they need to pull out that they haven't. Some other games they should have won and didn't balance it out. Ullmark stealing a game is a great sign for him.
