It feels like my love for Kasper is a sickness. I'll call it, Kasperaitis.
You called?

I don't get it. They looked fantastic last night. Is it the product of playing a really shitty tram? Or are we actually a good team, just marred by weird decisions (Petry/Chia playing 22 minutes a night)?

Calgary is 12-7-4 and second in their division. Overall they've had a good start to the season.

The opponent might have had a bad game last night, but I think Detroit is just a mishmash of kids improving and several milquetoast veterans, so you see up and down results.

EDIT: Well, and what looks like the defensive system from hell by the coaching staff. It's been very strange to see a team lean into flipping it down the ice and/or using awful deployments so frequently.

Had to say for sure, but if the flu bug effects are done and the older guys have now fully recovered (way less coasting), maybe they can string some good games together...to have a shot at the dance, they need a strong finish for the rest of the year, got a lot of home games and a lot against teams they need to crawl over to get there. I think there is only one B2B in December and it is a home and home with the Habs, so they need to build a cushion heading into 2025.

If they don't, they will have a real hard road ahead.

Or maybe the flu bug is finally gone totally, and the guys are looking like healthy athletes again?

Still climbing in 10-game rolling average CorsiFor%.
