Didn’t he take a puck in warm up or something off the head in a previous season and he played some of his best hockey that year after it? I’m pretty sure it was last year

yup and it happened twice and both were in warm up.

Training camp was too early to say that. You had to give the team time to gel and get going. Sure goals a were lost, but we did bring him some players that should be contributing a lot more than they currently are. Im always willing to give the team time to gel, they earned it last year. Calling it in the offseason is just early IMO.

It wasn't just that.. we knew Hyman would regress.. older players were a year older... someone like Ryan should be gone and Philp should be up and we could already see that in training camp.

Yes they will take time to gel and get chemistry and hopefully that happens.. but this team makes it very hard on themselves with the coaching/management decisions they make with this roster.

i fully expected Hyman to regress this year, i figured he would be around 20-25 goals this year. I like his game and it hasn't changed, hes still doing all he did in previous seasons. Its just not working for him because the other players arent playing the right game. McDavid and Drai turned into a pass machine this year when they need to f***ing shoot with hyman standing in front of the net. not passing through the crease

I really wanna see him succeed. He’s a young guy but he’s got a wife and a baby, guys probably been stressing so hard about not scoring.

I swear that I saw a pig fly by my window when Podkolzin scored. He hadn't scored since the Lincoln Administration.

Happy for him though, he does a lot of good stuff on the ice and deserved to pot one. Hopefully he can go on a bit of a heater now that he got the monkey off his back, the skill is there.
