Nope. He had good taste either way in my estimation. I’ve owned a Camaro and wish I could afford a nice SS.

Apparently a clutch pin would pop out and you’d have to get and slide under the car to pop it back in. My mom being pregnant could not get under and thankfully someone stopped to help her.
They didn’t give up on it until the big sexy mags my dad put on it got stolen, the thieves left it on bricks and poured sugar in things. So I never got to meet the Camaro

My dad got into a lot of trouble (fights and police tickets) in that thing

Did manage to get 350K out of mine and worked through two camshafts on the way among very many other fixes. Seals and gaskets on those things were awful. Just fill it up with Oil once in awhile. heh

Was a decent car overall. Could really have fun on slippery roads and turbocharge. Youth wasn't wasted on the young back then..That thing had kick.
