Yeah but unlike Max, CC had been ultra consistent. Kinda sucked to see him slump.

But… his play has been mostly great and he wasn’t rewarded. The fact that he gets a goal during his worst game is a positive sign that karma is finally going the other way. So many games where he could’ve had multiple goals and got nothing.

A few games ago he looked like a guy who’d lost his confidence. He was starting to slide a bit. Played great in SJ and now has another goal and then that great shift. Hopefully he can get back to doing what he does.

Every game Allen is in the net I say to myself Habs have less chances to trade him. He lose his appeal every friggin game. But every game Monty is in the net I think other teams are watching and they want him badly. Especially EDM.

Three things that frustrate me with this team:

1. No centre outside Suzuki with ability to carry the puck through the neutral-zone. That makes it hard on the wingers.
2. The transition game is so awful. I don't even know what it is, but like there is no flow between the defensive moving the puck to the forwards. It's jagged. No one can gain speed.
3. Where is the fore-check pressure? I mean, there is literally none. So passive.

He is NOT FIRST LINE material he needs to go back to the bottom six.
Besides which Newhook's footspeed was responsible for that goal not Gallagher.
