He should have just said FU to Therrien and stayed on. What was Therrien going to do about it? If he complained to the GM he would likely be fired.
I can see the team coming out and playing well....only to have primeau sink them.
Not concerned with the team tbh. there's a difference between adding pieces too early to move up the standings, and adding a piece to stabliize the team. The team cannot continue without a 2C. And what I mean by that is the team can't afford to keep losing in this way, which impact development.
I have no delusions about the playoffs, but Hughes has to do something for the sake of the young guys. There's only so much these wingers can do if they don't have a proper C

Yes. Why do i keep thinking of Carbonneau there? Price should have scared the hell out of Therrien by telling him he would ask for a trade if Montoya wasn't pulled.
Better that than she doesn't need to wear a mask to look like a horse.
y'know its funny there was a time where the habs had way less talent on their roster, worse shooters, and they'd pepper the net with 40+ shots (to score 1-2 goals). Now we have a team with some legit shooters, real young talent and no one wants to shoot.
In countless ways, hockey is always about balance. MSL really needs to start preaching shooting and things should improve. The possession and zone time we get hasn't been bad in these low shot games, its just the fact that we're doing nothing with our time.
Take for example the play where Slaf used his body to protect the puck high in the zone, the slipped it to Armia (who missed). We should be working those plays all game. set plays to get shots on net. Its the best way to get defenders moving out of position and who knows you might score on a few.
