I'm guessing that all the people who think Prime is doing something incredible just never got to experience the old GameCentre broadcasts.

Definitely head and shoulders over SportsNet's terrible work but not as good as it could be.

I wonder if next time around during negotiations the Canadian teams will try to do for TV what most of them do for radio and own their broadcasts and production a la YES network.

Have never used prime for sports.

I was checking it out earlier and couldn't find older games.

Does this mean that you can only stream it live and can't tune in later and fast forward?

Like, if it was a 10:30 start, I couldn't watch a recording the next day or two like I would on PVR?

If that's the case, this blows. I hate wasting 3 hours on an inferior product. At least an hour isn't so bad.

The games stay up for a week I believe, last Monday I tuned in early and it started showing game from the previous Monday, I backed out, double check who was supposed to be playing and that took long enough that the new game was ready to start.

Lol, boourns, another app to have to pay for.
Yep. Just got to keep throwing money out to watch games & your fav team now. ESPN+ not broadcasting the game either. Looks like no Thursday American Thanksgiving NFL games either (a long standing tradition) if Prime has broadcast rights for all Thursday NFL games.

Oh ok, good!

I was hating the prospect of not being able to watch after the fact and fast forward.

A week is good enough. I don't need it permanently. Just thinking ahead to like a 1030pm start that I want to watch the next day.

Good to know! Thanks micklebot!

Ya, they won't bring me in. I hate this model of business so much. My brother lent me his login for the night, and I'll do the same for the other Senators game on Prime this year. I'll just live without any other exclusive sports content they provide for now, or find it elsewhere.

I do have a free trial, but last time I did that I forgot to cancel and got charged the next month.

It happens. And, that’s why companies are so quick to offer free trials.

100%. I've read some of the stats on it and a big part of the business model is relying on exactly that. I'm pretty diligent and wasn't upset about a $10 charge, but annoying nonetheless. I have little to no use for prime other than the odd rare scenario.

Gift cards are a similar phenomenon. Something like 30% of them go unused. Just free money for our Corporate Overlords.

Ya, the giant corporations need those extra billions. Otherwise, they’ll have fewer rockets to shoot into space and lose bragging rights.

Is this game only available on Amazon Prime? Not on TSN, Sportsnet nor City Whoop-de-doo TV?
Yes. Amazon has paid for exclusivity.

You ever seen Elysium?

That's where I assume this is all headed. In fact, it's the only possible outcome imo other than complete failure.

Yeah this is much better than any other broadcast so far, love being able to see the warm up like this.. pretty much like we're at the arena.
