When I left my room it was 1-1, I come back 5 minutes later and it's 4-2. Why does this always happen.

With King getting his 100th point he'll be re-upped for 8 years!!!! ;)

Good game, held in there until the wheels fell off for NYI.

Nice seeing Forbort score on another wrist shot. Keep watching that Doughty.

Game was rough and Kings were struggling for patches of it and right up to the end NYI was shutting the offense down really well. Good win, but leaves an uneasy feeling.

Edit: Might get Gabby back for the next one!

King with 2 goals tonight, good job.

Doughty needs lessons from Forbort on how to get his shot through on net.

Lewis with 2 assists tonight, the dish master.

Drew actually took a couple of really good wrist shots tonight, so there's that, but he also needs to re-learn that mobility instead of freezing to try to read and elude his checker--he just gets the puck at the point and stops to plan his next move.

Doughty CAN ride the line like Forbort did there, as he used to get points doing so...just need to see that come back instead of trying to overbrain it.

I agree,

Drew seriously needs to ditch that slap shot (air mail) thing he has going.

Glad to see some of our other guys come through.

Downside--Lewis and King are now absolutely glued to Kopitar until things go wrong

He still didn't look quite right, but getting back to it.

You're probably right . Kopitar served one up to Lewis in the first and he shot it right over the net. Kopitar was like :shakehead

Solid win tonight. But...

I'm still trying to grasp my head around Greene playing over Gilbert.

Greene was the cause of the first goal, and prior to that, he turned the puck over cleanly 2 or 3 times. Guy can't make a breakout pass to save his life.

Really pisses me off.

It's the same as any point Toffoli or Pearson get; their individual success makes things worse in the future. King does have the 2nd most 5v5 points on the team now though. 3rd most 5v5 goals behind Pearson and Carter.

been plesantly surprised with this team...just when i had lost all hope they have been winning games against good teams (not the isles) with a third string goalie, kopitar being hurt, missing a goal threat of gabo...i guess shame on me. let's hope they can continue.

I think its because Gravel needs a more stay at home type of D-men. Something Gilbert is not. Hopefully when McNabb comes back, he can stabalize that pairing better than Greene (though Greene has been playing better this year, compared to the last 3 seasons). Hopefully Sutter has balls to atleast give the the young guys a chance (McNabb-Gravel).

I hope you are right but I suspect we are more likely to see McNabb/Greene. I really want to see what Gravel can do on the right side. If he is successful there it gives the Kings a lot more options in how they work the expansion draft.
