I kinda hate it

It's easily the best part about our broadcasts. I hate homers. Bob and Jim are some of the best in the business because they call it as it is and not based off of who pays them.

Y'know what has probably helped him most? Moving from a pairing with Drewiske to being paired with Doughty. He looks like a completely different player on the top pair as opposed to playing the bottom pair.

I agree, pairing a rookie with a #7 is rarely going to work no matter how much you like the #7. Once Muzzin was paired with a more responsible player who could help him with his game he turned the corner the rest of the way. You could see it coming before the switch but it has certainly turned around since then.

Rookie doing what rookie D do, ups and downs but Muzzin absolutely has proven that he belongs in the NHL and has NHL level skills. Just has to keep playing steady hockey at the level of skill that he is capable of playing and he will be a solid 3rd pairing Dman with a little upside.
