Nice delayed goal. Nuti had it then Hartnell to Anderson. Yes.

Is the relevant rule for those situations that embellishment by the goaltender nullifies an interference call? I'd assume it'd be more like "no goal, and two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct for #72".

Excerpt from rule 69.1: If a defending player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by an attacking player so as to cause the defending player to come into contact with his own goalkeeper, such contact shall be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, and if necessary a penalty assessed to the attacking player and if a goal is scored it would be disallowed.
&
Rule 69.2: In all cases in which an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper...

I think they deemed that Palat was the one initiating contact by pushing Johnson into Bob, so that the goal is disallowed, but that it was unintentional and thus no penalty.

I know that much; I was more wondering about whether or not Bob would get called for diving, or if diving would make it a good goal.

Murray with a sick feed to Nuti to help set up the Anderson goal. Just pointing it out because he won't get an assist for that.

Can Anderson get 10 shots? Or a Gordie Howe hat-trick?

Hartnell - Karlsson - Anderson could just be a great combo for a while for us.

Not sure what we do with Hannikainen - Sedlak - Gagner. Karlsson's line was a defensive unit but with Hartnell they might be used for goal scoring. But Sedlak's unit can't be used in too difficult of situations yet, so they might get minutes cut, which hurts the team depth/endurance.

Okay. This might come as a bit of a radical opinion, but I'll say it anyways - Nikita Kucherov scares the hell out of me.

It is SO AWESOME to watch the opposition pull off a nice-looking passing play and then watch it die at the hands of our blueline. :D

The rulebook is quite vague on this (well it is a special case of a special case after all), but I'd guess they could've called Bob for diving and still disallow the goal as it was deemed that the attacker initiated the contact.

holding my breath

I thought Hartnell was offsides when I saw this live

edit....Tampa may not be able to challenge even if they wanted to

I saw that immediately, then wondered if they would challenge but remembered they had spent it already.:yo:
