That's not how elite sports works.

Learning the hard way is very much an important part of the process for young athletes.

It's more art than science from a coaching pov, and very easy to second guess each choice a coach makes... that's why the big picture is more important to asses than the game to game ones (& again, i to question the decision not to call a TO in the 2nd...)

If you think msl "wants to lose", I think that's a terrible take with zero grounding.

As far as building a winning culture... losing is a part of that, as unpleasant as it may be.

I never said MSL wants to lose. I criticized the passivity. At this point, the coach makes it easy to just say "Oh well" after the game.

How do you want a team to learn how to pick themselves up when they're drowning, if they get to live another day?

I am for learning the hard way, but for there to be a hard way, there's gotta be, at the very least, a consequence for getting destroyed, at home at that. If you don't have that, there is no way a group of guys just develop that self correcting and growth mindset.

There are no amount of nice words and Sun Tzu quotes that will get that through a group.
