What's a computer?
Hope Kane improves, BC he has been too inconsistent. Sad to say but losing Kane at this point would probably improve the team. tank should be on 4th line.

Next yr: would try

Ras ( or some other piano puller) - Larkin- raymond
DBC - Kasper -Danielson
Compher - Copp - Berg
Soderblom - Veleno - tank

Use husso/kanes money to try and target a good D for ther 2nd pair.

Yeah - his face was a little bit red…Nice to see someone with a pulse.
I'm 99% confident that in 2021 or early 2022 it was mentioned during a broadcast that he battled with some severe rosacea for a little while and was getting it under control at that point. This mention stands out in my memory because my girlfriend at the time acted like rosacea was some terminal illness or something. I'm not saying he wasn't fired up, but that might not be the full cause of the redness:laugh:

At least they played with some energy at times tonight. I mean, they couldn't pass, shoot, or win a faceoff.... Baby steps.

I'm on the Motte bandwagon. He brings energy. Better than Veleno.

Fischer actually hit someone tonight. We're still allowed to hit people, right? You wouldn't know it with how soft these guys play all the time.

Was at the game. Last two periods were borderline unwatchable. We have no outlet system. If you are going to play dump and chase you have to have players chasing the puck. 2nd and 3rd periods just consisted of east dumps right to 3 Bruins. We have to stop with the lazy drop passes to no one on the PP. Everyone knows we do this now and is anticipating it.

Kane is as lazy as they come. He is barely even trying offense let alone D. Tank is shot. He can't skate anymore. Ras stopped hustling after the 1st. Everyone not named Seider or Ed is trash on defense. Talbot is the only reason we are in games.

Kane and Tank should both be benched next game if you are going by effort. Lalonde and staff can vacate the arena.

Let me see:

DBC-Larkin-Swoleno
Berg-Kasper-Ray
Ras-Copp-Fisher
Motte-Compher- Watson

Maybe someone will remember to get pucks on net, check somebody, win a faceofd, or hustle...
And this is why I’ve been wanting Fester gone since the end of last season.

Win a game in a rather apathetic way and lose a game the same.

Damn. Good start but no energy on the last half 30minutes.

Probably that 50 minute chase vs. NYI did wear them too much. Also that flu bug could have eaten some condition away. They always look somewhat exhausted.

On last days I have really missed Tyler Bertuzzi as a perfect piece on the top line.

I wake up this morning, hungover, filled with regret that I decided to go out last night instead of staying in and watching hockey. I can hear my heartbeat in my ears and my phone blinds me as I start watching the highlights of this game. By the end of the video, I'm suppressing the urge to vomit but am now certain that I made the right choice. The physiological toll from having poisoned myself with whiskey could not possibly compare to the psychological toll that watching this team takes on me.

This team is tragic. No flow, no system, dump and chase trash with no physicality.
Yep. They have zero identity. Small, soft, easy to play against, prone to defensive mistakes, dump and don’t chase. There’s little reason to watch this team. They’re joyless.

Yup…Been this way since Blashill was here.
That’s right. Yzerman hired two coaches with little vision of a system and then surrounded them with middling talent. He shoulders most of the blame since he hired both of these coaches.

Yeah, the lack of gas is somewhat disturbing, the up and down play of the team overall is indicative of some sort of conditioning thief (flu bug?) at work.

I am sure if SY thought it was a purely coaching issue, there would be corrections by now. (Either by coaching the coach or rearranging the coaching team)

The very optional practice the other day between games is somewhat telling...looks like were they trying to conserve energy post Islanders prior to playing the Bruins?

Even on off-days, if nothing else teams would normally practice special teams, break outs (line rushes) especially if they are changing the lines up a little and get the goalies a little work.

I am still hoping it as an adversity that they work through sooner rather than later as there is very seldom a 60 minute effort by the entire team. (Imagine if they had the goal tending from so far this year for the start of last year)
