Islands in the stream.
This is why I can’t take you seriously. In another thread, just this morning, you were seen calling Podkolzin ‘an absolute bust who shouldn’t even be here’. Now, mere hours later, you reframe it as ‘when he remembers to be physical you have time for him’. What a joke. Podkolzin plays physical every game. He leads a wimpy team in hits by more than ten while playing less than 13 minutes a night. Let’s maybe give a guy more than 19 games to fit into a new team before calling him ‘an absolute bust’ all over the board eh?
Gee thanks for being my constant proof reader. I guess no emotive comments come from fans ever in relation to sports.

Thanks for rundown spock.

Pods had fallen asleep from doing the things he needs to be doing CONSTANTLY to stay in an NHL lineup. He was a churchmouse on the roadtrip and maybe a bad look after the Leafs game or Habs game where we could've used a spark from him and got none. He's bringing it tonight and so my opinion on his replay is revised accordingly. In the moment. Because players like this exist in that moment and could have their career over anytime. Not much of any role for him if he doesn't play like he's playing today.

From a talent pov Pods is a bust. What he needs to be is an energy player. Reliably. he got a wake up call.

The Oilers are going to be acquiring a defenseman that will slot in on the right side, and it could be someone completely off the radar, per Bob Stauffer.

He is a better passer and is a better skater. Emberson is a very good 3rd pairing D and his AAV is reasonable for that role, Ceci not so much.
I’m going to have to agree with @Spawn. Emberson is rounding into what could be a good, serviceable player. It’s a relief to see after what I felt was a very shaky pre-season. But he’s no Cody Ceci. Not yet anyway.
